This report delineates and defines what is meant by ‘hemp’ and how it differs from ‘marijuana’ with respect to their individual status under the Controlled Substances Act.  The report contains a comprehensive explanation of the agricultural science associated with both hemp and marijuana as well as their compositions, particularly with respect to THC and CBD concentrations.

Scientists are studying potency, amounts of a substance called CBD and contaminants in the products.
